Datavant is seeking a results-oriented Growth Marketer covering technology and emerging customer segments who has experience in a growth marketing and demand gen role in the real-world data and/or healthcare software space.  You will develop an understanding of how Datavant Switchboard (our data connectivity product platform) enables use cases for established and new customers in the technology, data and public sector segments.  This encompasses a range of companies including data aggregators, digital health, analytics / AI companies, government agencies, clinical research networks, and large employer groups - all of whom are using connected healthcare data to power analytics.  Using that understanding, you will own an expansive charter to develop marketing strategy and execute integrated campaigns that drive inbound growth from established and new customers.

You’ll work cross-functionally with the Go-to-Market team and Product Marketing to plan and device campaigns that acquire and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.  You will work with the enterprise digital marketing team to determine the most efficient and optimal mix of channels and tactics to acquire qualified leads, and you will use data and measure results to continually improve demand generation strategy.

You Will:

  • Understand customers and use cases in the technology and emerging customer segments-
    • Collaborate with GTM (go-to-market) to understand the different types of customers and how they get value from Datavant Switchboard (our product platform)
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing to understand the suite of capabilities that make up Datavant Switchboard and work together to describe how Switchboard solves our Ecosystem customers' existing and emerging needs for data and insights
    • Develop case studies to communicate the ROI that current customers are getting from Datavant Switchboard; recognize patterns and growth trends in certain use cases and make them repeatable through targeted campaigns
    • Develop and maintain customer persona and associated value propositions as we expand Datavant Switchboard use across customer types
  • Develop and execute on demand generation programs
    • Work with the Head of Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales Leadership and BDR team to grow demand for our products and solutions
    • Plan integrated campaigns that deliver compelling content to targeted persona and have an optimal mix of awareness, consideration and conversion content
    • Work with Enterprise Digital Marketing on campaign execution and continuous measurement to optimizing funnel performance
    • Report on campaign performance and overall lead generation results to leadership  
  • Set the partnership strategy for these customers to determine co-marketing opportunities at different levels of partnership
  • Contribute to the growth of the Marketing team
    • Contribute to the vertical Marketing team and broader Marketing organization by taking ownership of and driving high priority projects
    • Help build our team culture and continually improving our processes
    • Adopt a nimble and flexible mindset that leaves room for quick pivots as new opportunities present themselves
    • Be a collaborative team player with a no-job-too-small attitude

What You Will Bring to the Table: 

  • Smart, nice and get-things-done (in line with our cultural principles)
  • 8+ years of growth marketing and demand generation experience at a real-world data and/or B2B healthcare software company
  • 5+ years of cross-functional leadership experience
  • 5+ years in using marketing technology (HubSpot, WordPress, Salesforce, Google Analytics, social media marketing, email marketing)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to influence cross-functionally and lead within the team
  • Creative ideas and strong execution skills to launch campaigns with stopping power that will 10x demand
  • Keen intuition for understanding where use cases are in their maturity stage (including entirely new category-creating use cases) and developing appropriate content and go-to-market strategy
  • Commercial orientation, market savvy and effective past experiences working with enterprise sales teams
  • Capacity to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and disaggregating big goals into concrete work plans

Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges are developed with the support of benchmarks (competitive San Francisco rates for US-based roles) and industry best practices. 

We’re building a high-growth, high-autonomy culture. We rely less on job titles and more on cultivating an environment where anyone can contribute, the best ideas win, and personal growth is driven by expanding impact and less by title. This means we default to simple job titles (e.g., Software Engineer) rather than complex ones (e.g., Senior Software Engineer). The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $165k to $215k.
