Our R&D organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groovy Developer that is excited about problem-solving and creating robust software solutions with a strong personal desire to succeed. We are looking for a motivated engineer with exposure to multiple programming languages to support the delivery of world-class, customer-focused solutions for Higher Education, with a continuous delivery cycle. You will actively participate in the design, development, and delivery of new solutions for the next generation of Higher Education products.
This role is based out of Mexico and work hand on hand with US based engineering teams.
Technical skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a full-stack software developer in technologies like J2EE, Groovy, React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, PL/SQL
- Solid knowledge on Object Oriented Design, Patterns and Data Structures.
- Ability to understand and write complex SQL queries.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, DevOps Tools, Liquibase.
- Solid understanding of modern software development and design.
- Ability to create technical user stories to define and describe needed tasks and to translate functional requirements into technical requirements, creatively identifying any missing steps or considerations.
- Ability to develop automation test cases and test plans independently. Documenting defects and track issue resolution.
- Experience in Higher Education Administration is a plus.
