GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the guidance and supervision of the Deputy Clinical Officer, the Grant Manager is responsible for working with Executive and Program Leadership to identify existing gaps and emerging opportunities, research new funding sources at the local, state, and federal level, and complete applications using a thorough and timely writing/review/submission process. The Grant Manager works collaboratively with other program staff for successful grant development, execution, and oversight, and is responsible for ensuring all parts of the grant application, submission, and/or reporting are completed. The Grant Manager clearly and effectively organizes and communicates grant timelines, tasks, and action items to successfully coordinate with key staff for completion, submission, and ongoing results tracking and reporting for the term of each grant award.  This position manages grant databases, ensures compliance with grant regulations, and engages stakeholders as necessary.  Upholds LifePath Systems’ mission, vision, and values in all grant management tasks and responsibilities.  This position promotes initiative, innovation, and flexibility in all grant management processes.  Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ work experience in non-profit administration
  • 3 years’ experience in grant writing and grant management at the local, state, and federal level
  • Documented experience in data analysis, program budgeting, and project management
  • Experience working in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) or community mental health/MHMR center highly preferred

ESSENTIAL TASKS & STANDARDS

Maintains tracking of current and prospective grants

Creates timeline, manpower requirements and outline of critical information needed for grant proposals.

Writes application narrative with help as needed on technical parts; submits to funding agency within established deadline

Creates and maintains an up to date library of center related key facts and statistics that can be quickly accessed to ensure accurate and consistent dissemination of information related to the Center.

Demonstrates success

Responsible for overseeing required grant reporting during life of grant.

Track funder reporting needs, deadlines, and action items.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines while maintaining quality

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS

  • Must have valid Texas Driver License and a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to complete all LifePath Systems training.
  • Must be able to provide at least 3 professional or educational references. 

BENEFITS

Salary Range: $75,000-90,000 per year (Depending on Experience)             

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday  8am - 5pm (Remote position but must be available for in-person presentations as required to fulfill grant requirements. Flexibility in work hours required to meet project goals and timelines.)
