General Manager, CS:GO

TSM (tsm.gg) is a world-recognized leader in esports with multiple top-ranked competitive teams, including the most notable League of Legends team who has won 7 LCS Championships, more than any other organization. Originally founded in 2009 by Andy Dinh and Dan Dinh, we now have 16+ competitive teams in addition to League of Legends, including Fortnite, Valorant, Apex, Rainbow 6 and more. We also have one of the largest networks of streamers on Twitch.tv (Subsid. Amazon). All of this contributes to our mission to become the most competitive and successful esports and video game organization in the world. Overview

Reporting to the VP of Esports, the CS:GO General Manager, will be responsible for running and ensuring the success of TSM’s CS:GO division.

In this role, the GM will manage the entirety of TSM’s CS:GO operations within Europe. In addition, the GM of CS:GO will need to work cross-functionally with the Sales/Partnerships, Marketing, People, and Apparel departments to successfully deliver on TSM’s vision and goals. This position requires the ability to travel throughout Europe.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and drive the strategic development and execution of CS:GO esports operations across TSM and provide leadership for all of TSM CS:GO 
  • Work closely with the VP of Esports and upper management to evaluate upcoming talent and size the investment into new CS:GO circuits/leagues around the world 
  • Partner closely with Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, Executives, Merchandising, HR/People, etc. to act as a key point of contact and integration for all of TSM’s CS:GO and overall team operations 
  • Work closely with talented senior-level content and/or influencer teams related to CS:GO creators
  • Act as a leader with the CS:GO group to provide creative solutions across many categories including team performance & development, announcements, PR, launches, digital advertising/social campaigns, planning, etc.
  • Budget for the CS:GO division, including monitoring and controlling costs
  • Work with HR/People team to standardize and optimize the effectiveness of all internal managers, based on direction from the VP of Esports

What It Takes To Be Successful

  • 5+ years of management experience with increasing responsibility in esports or sports
  • High domain expertise and understanding of the competitive CS:GO landscape with an ability to navigate an industry that is constantly evolving 
  • Knowledge of player contracts and complex EU employment + visa laws
  • Driving overall team and staff performance through organizing, coordinating and managing resources, time, and people to achieve key objectives
  • Leader of leaders— having a teamwork and growth-oriented mentality to help your leaders, staff, and players expand their knowledge and skill sets
  • Talent development champion who can mentor, lead, inspire, motivate, and care for senior-level managers to managers of high-performing teams
  • Understanding of how to build strong teams and manage expectations of players (main team and/or academy team)
  • Excellent at giving clear, motivating, and constructive feedback to facilitate top performance and talent development
  • Proven track record of being able to develop the capabilities and leadership skills of managers and coaches of teams
  • Highly organized, capable of working with multiple teams and internal stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; anticipating long-term challenges and trends
  • Exceptional project management skills, resourcefulness, and ability to multitask
  • Collaborative team player with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude who can take initiative and foster a sense of urgency and commitment in others to achieve goals
  • Fluency in English

Nice To Have

  • Fluency in: Danish, German, Dutch, Polish, Czech, and/or French 
  • Experience with G Suite
