Shotstack is building the next generation, video editing developer platform. Last year our customers created more than a million videos, and we grew 6 times larger in the process. Spotify, Airbnb, IKEA, Twitter and McDonalds have used our platform to build their video applications.
We are looking for an ambitious software engineer to join us on our mission to unlock the possibilities of media experiences. You will be joining a fast growing start-up and joining a team with strong backgrounds in the technology sector from companies such as Uber, Rocketfuel, the Iconic and others. This ground level opportunity includes equity so you can share in our success.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone with 3+ years of commercial and team experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building backend and frontend software projects.
- Writing clean, maintainable code and follow software engineering best practices.
- Support, monitor and maintain new and existing products and services.
Requirements
You must have the following technical skills and experience:
- 3+ years React/Node/JavaScript experience
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience building customer facing web sites and browser-based applications
- Experience working as part of a software engineering team
- Be willing to move to Sydney if necessary
- Be eligible to work in Australia

- AWS Serverless – Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc...
- Microservice architecture and distributed systems
- FFmpeg, HTML5 video and multimedia APIs
- Testing methodologies including unit testing
- Experience with Agile practices and frameworks
