Position Description
Redhorse Corporation has an opening for a Financial Analyst to support Program Management Teams in financial management of projects and programs. The preferred candidate for this position will have 4+ years of Financial Analysis experience supporting projects and programs for a Government Contractor including FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus contract types. The preferred candidate will lead with a positive attitude and ownership mentality. Teamwork and collaboration will be critical for the success of this role, along with having the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and responsibilities. The preferred candidate will focus on accuracy and consistency of data and numbers as a pre-requisite for this role.

Position requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Project Management Teams in the development, review, and updates of project and program budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion (EAC).
  • Monitor and review project and program expenditures for accuracy and consistency.
  • Review, monitor, and report project financial performance (revenue, cost, margins) and identify and present potential deviations against budget or forecasts to management. Develop and provide recommendations for corrective action or improvement as necessary.
  • Prepare and/or support preparation of client status reports, integrated program reviews, and/or ad-hoc program related financial requests from clients or internal management.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department in supporting client questions associated with billings and reviewing and resolving unbilled charges.
  • Support development or enhancement of processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Support audit requirements from government agencies, internal and external auditors
  • Participation in Ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support key business decisions, as needed
  • Write reports to evaluate current and historical financial data and explain variances.
  • Support Project Controls functions to include but not limited to purchase requisitions and project system administration.

Basic requirements for Experience, Skills, Education and Credentials include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 8 years experience
  • Strong Deltek Costpoint and Costpoint Business Intelligence experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
  • Strong organization skills and focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Strong analytical and problem solving with minimal direction
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc)
  • Ability and willingness to work and adapt in fast-paced environment; multi-task, organize and prioritize deadlines in continually changing environment
