Lightspeed is looking to welcome a full-time Finance Manager, Revenue Accounting to manage and oversee our revenue recognition processes and support various company initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS as well as reporting on revenue on a monthly basis. Reporting to the VP Finance, this is your chance to join a thriving team in a high impact and high visibility role, while learning about the Software, Payments, and Financial Services industry.
What you’ll be responsible for:
As the Finance Manager, Revenue Accounting, you will collaborate with multiple business units and work with the corporate and operational teams in order to execute the following duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the revenue accounting close processes and ensure a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy;
- Collaborate with the FP&A department to support monthly reporting for multiple revenue streams;
- Assist finance engineers (i.e. IS, ERP teams) with execution of revenue system integrations including product mappings, user acceptance testing and data migration when needed;
- Participate in cross functional project initiatives that will streamline the order to cash process;
- Serve as the finance organization’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting and collaborate with Sales, FP&A, Billing, Accounts Receivable, IT, and Professional Services relative to contract negotiations and new product offerings to provide guidance on revenue recognition processes;
- Be responsible for reporting projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, perform in depth analysis, interpret results and develop actionable insights and recommendations for use across the business units;
- Work with internal and external auditors and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all audit deliverables;
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements;
- Supervise an Accounting Analyst;
- Participate in other projects as necessary.
What you’ll be bringing to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA designation is required
- At least 3-4 years of experience in audit, in revenue recognition accounting or in accounting in a SaaS company
- Excellent understanding of how IFRS15 applies to SaaS

Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must
- Organized and comfortable balancing multiple competing projects
- Strong business acumen and understanding how Lightspeed fits in the global software industry
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to take initiative
- Ability to handle a high volume of changes
- Excellent English communication skills
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- Experience with Netsuite ERP, Salesforce and Looker
- Experience in Software, Payments, or Financial Services industry
- Excellent written and spoken French
