Finance Manager - Contract Position

Your initial focus will be to assist in the 2022 audit work, however you will be coming into a very busy but small finance team who also look after various other areas of the business such as customer pricing, commercial / customer contracts / Office Management / Customer software licensing. This role will support the existing 2 team members with all of this.

You must be willing to come in an roll up your sleeves, be a team player and get involved with anything that falls under our remit. In return for this, you will join a fun, tight nit team who enjoy their jobs.

Speaking of your team, you’ll be working closely with the 2 people in the finance team, plus everyone in the wider business, we all enjoy working together and have fun whilst working hard. Besides being a qualified accountant / QBE with excellent Excel skills, you’re experienced in month-end processes and audit control environments.

The successful hire will be brought in for an initial 3 month period with a rolling 1 month contract to follow. If it's working for you as well as us further down the line then there is also the option for this role to be converted to a permanent one!

Requirements

In terms of Audit duties, you’re able to:

  • Assist in delivery of year end statutory audit in relation to Azzure IT
  • Be a key contact for relationship management and information requests to auditors
  • Ensure continuous development of process and control environment and mitigate auditor raised control weaknesses


An overview of what your duties look like are as follows, to assist / potentially take ownership of any of the following areas:

  • Daily cash postings and reporting to group
  • Weekly / Monthly sales invoicing runs
  • Ad-hoc purchase ledger invoice processing
  • Licence ordering for customers
  • Direct Debit administration
  • Monthly journal posting / Management Accounts
  • Ad-Hoc reporting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Credit insurance Administration
  • Forecasting
  • Sales Commission calculations


You’re a skilled individual. This includes attention to detail, being deadline driven, articulation and command of the English (written and verbal) as well as being able to adapt to a changing environment. Ultimately, you’ll be trusted to do what you need to do and be part of a team that supports you.
