Job Description
Are you a technology freak and would you like to be part of a very agile and global company?
In this position you are the link between the customer and the R&D department. Your main task is to develop solutions for customers using the products and concepts from Toradex. Active support for customers during the development phase as well as supporting long-standing customers with technical questions is part of their everyday life.
Thanks to your highly communicative personality, you will develop a long-term relationship of trust with our customers, but you will also pass on your feedback to our application and product teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- You support our customers during the development process and help with the creation of technical concepts.
- You answer technical questions to our products
- You verify reported issues of our products and discuss them internally with the development department
- You review customer concepts and hardware designs
- You demonstrate our products (HW and SW) to our customers
- You support the marketing-department, for example, with regular webinars or visits to exhibitions and customers (up to 20% travel activity
- You act as moderator and comment entries in our online community
Desired Candidate Profile:
Sales Skills
- Passionate about turning a customer's idea into a real product with the help of Toradex' s products
- You are creating value and trust with the prospect and exploring their needs prior to proposing suitable solutions
- Proven ability to work with customers at all levels, from engineering to management
- Understanding and identifying areas of potential risks in a project, such a missing or ambiguous requirements, and helping to minimize or eliminate such risks through pro-active communication and problem solving
- Ability to capture and systematically document customer requirements for review with application engineers and development teams
- High-integrity, self-driven team player and thorough professional
- Fluent English (C1) and German (B2) language skills in reading / writing / speaking / presenting; Additional languages like French, Italian or Spanish are of advantage
Technical skills
- Experience with Arm computer systems
- Ability to provide technical product demonstrations
- Good software and hardware troubleshooting skills
- Broad experience with requirements analysis & system-level design
- Comprehension of computer hardware fundamentals and component datasheets
- Familiarity with industrial interfaces such as I2C/SPI/UART/CAN/USB/SDIO/Ethernet/etc.
- Experience with embedded operating systems such as Embedded Linux, QNX or other OS
