Zinc Network is hiring an

Expert Workshop Facilitator (Georgian & English)

Tbilisi, Georgia
Full-Time

Company overview

Zinc Network is an international development company that works closely with local networks and leverages communications, behavioural science and technology to deliver meaningful, measurable change. We design and deliver award-winning programmes, interventions, and campaigns that change the way that people think, feel, and behave across a wide range of issues including information integrity / mis- and disinformation, media development, tackling social / online harms and supporting good governance.

Zinc is headquartered in London, but has offices in Tbilisi, Washington, D.C., Kyiv, and Nairobi. We are a team of 80+, made up of individuals with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Our Georgia team is now 19 people strong and has been operating for 2 years (office in central Tbilisi). We are a Certified B Corp and have a strong code of ethics. We work with a broad range of government, civil society and private sector clients, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office's (FCDO).

Role overview

Zinc is looking for an experienced Workshop Facilitator (2-4 years’ relevant experience) to join our regional Georgia team (working closely with the Strategy team based in London). You will report into Zinc’s Head of Strategy (UK-based) and Georgia Project Director. You will work mainly on our Georgia projects, which focus on strengthening independent media and countering disinformation, but may need to contribute to additional projects in different geographies. For example, as part of our Information Integrity Project, we have developed (i) a campaign calling out Georgian politicians for reinforcing Kremlin narratives about Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, (ii) a retail initiative supporting Georgian farmers living along the ABL [countering the Kremlin narrative that Georgians have forgotten about them] and (iii) a multi-generational music project challenging far-right narratives about what it means to be a Georgian patriot.

You will be responsible for leading workshops / trainings [in Georgian and/or English, in-person and remote] to support our programming team. These workshops / trainings will help to (i) set the direction of our programmes, (ii) design activities with key partners, (iii) establish new ways of working / support collaborations, (iv) interrogate new research / data, and/or (iv) come up with creative ideas in response to specific social / behavioural issues. Your workshops / trainings will need to be tailored to the needs for different stakeholder groups (including government, civil society, media, academia, private sector etc.).

Requirements

You will need to have lots of experience leading workshops / trainings related to social issues / within the public sector. You will be a confident communicator who can guide big groups through an agenda, move the conversation forward, convey complex information simply and get people to think creatively. Experience designing communications campaigns / strategies (e.g. multimedia advocacy campaigns or internal communications) is desirable. You will need to have an interest in national and international politics and social change / movement building.
