In this role, you'll be working with our Marketing team to lead and drive our efforts to make Evolving Web more confident and visible as industry experts through events, webinars/seminars, and trainings. This is a part of our growth stage, making Evolving Web stand out as a leader in the design and development of websites and applications for organizations all over North America–and expanding in the US market. We are looking for a leader with events planning and management skills, strong organizational skills, and a desire for proactive engagement with our customers and partners as an ambassador in events and other physical/online marketing efforts.
Your role as Events Marketing Manager will drive end-to-end events planning, marketing, and execution successfully. You will be expected to:
- Take initiative in events marketing strategy and planning by searching for and prioritizing events, conferences, and sponsorship opportunities to meet our objectives
- End-to-end events management for each of the online and in-person events, conferences, and seminars/webinars Evolving Web participates in or hosts
- Organizing and planning events calendars and scheduling events, webinars, and workshops using tools such as Zooms, Google Calendars, Eventbrite, etc.
- Liaising (including but not limited to logistics needs) and coordinating engagement with the marketing team, sales team, and other internal departments (e.g. subject-matter-experts, design team, operations); suppliers/vendors, and partners before, during, and after the events.
- Coordinating the production of marketing collaterals and other events-related materials.
- Lead promotional communications planning, development, and deployment in our channels (website, social media, newsletters, etc) accordingly and promptly
- Monitor the event's turnout (including event attendees' data management) and results in conjunction with the sales team; prepare post-event reports, making recommendations accordingly in line with the company's strategy and goals.
- Develop events ideas, researching initiatives from other competitors/industries
- Travel to events and act as an ambassador for the Evolving Web brand, building positive relationships with potential clients and partners
Requirements
What kind of skill set do you need to be successful inyour role within the Evolving community?
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Min of 5+ years of work experience in events marketing
- Proven success in events planning and execution of B2B corporate events, conferences, seminars, and other lead-generation efforts
- Relevant event experience in the information technology industry, higher education, government or equivalent
- With public speaking experience
- With demonstrated interest in design and technology
- With creativity, a good eye for design and branding
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Commitment to nurturing customers and partners (internal and external)
