Events Lead

Our Global People Team plays a key part in the employee experience at Wise, through the employee life cycle, events and services. 

You are a skilled Events Manager responsible for managing and delivering our hybrid and live internal events, supporting all Wise offices across our global locations. 

Events include webinars, celebrations, team building off- sites, seminars and conferences.

You will be working closely with your stakeholders to plan and provide memorable, engaging and cost- effective experiences to our employees, whilst ensuring that all event requirements, deadlines, and budget are on track.

You're an enthusiastic hands- on professional, who understands negotiation and promotion techniques and excellent organisational and relationship building skills. You will be able to think, plan, innovate, and execute resourcefully.

  • Lead global events (including associated travel and accommodation requirements) for Wise
  • Project manage from end to end multiple virtual / hybrid and live events, involving internal and external audiences, as well as the Wise leadership team.
  • Develop project plans and define project tasks, timelines and resource requirements as needed,
  • Mitigate risks across the various events and locations, partnering cross team to solve issues as they arise
  • Manage technical aspects of the virtual/hybrid events such as webinars, video conferences, live streams, online team buildings and celebrations with the internal teams and external partners
  • Manage event vendors and budget, ensure cost control and reconcile project invoices and event final cost reporting.
  • Source and manage suppliers. Review and negotiate contracts. Identify new preferred partners and cost- efficient opportunities.
  • Provide expert direction throughout each project to meet event expectations and support stakeholders with event content production and copywriting whenever required.
  • Assisting events on- site when required and possible
  • Inspire excellence, drive innovation, create and promote a collaborative environment. You are expected to be an exemplar of our Wise values and to nourish them throughout our events.

 

A bit about you

  • Substantial experience as a global  events project manager planning and executing hybrid and live events for over 1000 people
  • Excellent understanding of event technology, live streaming and webcasting
  • Creative thinker 
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with managing budgets over 500k GBP
  • Ability to produce content for abstracts, presentations, copywriting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and verbal) – highly fluent in English, experience in internal comms
  • Strong working knowledge of Google tools and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, PPT, plus Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Familiar with travel requirements and travel registration tools
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. Being adaptable to meet the changing needs of the business. Flexibility is a must.

Salary: 3,830 - 4,830 EUR per month

This is a global role working with our teams across AMER, EMEA and APAC regions.
