Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

  • Be a part of a team that has the responsibility over the installation of highly complicated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Support assigned start-up of new or relocated equipment, as well as upgrade/retrofit existing tools.
  • Drive the installation and qualification of new tools including facilities design and install, vendor startup, to equipment acceptance for production and volume ramp.
  • Supports and performs pre-installation activities with trades and OEM.
  • Maintains records and reports as required.
  • Coordinates activities with Trades, peers, supervisor(s) and end customers to ensure smooth installations of multiple tool sets throughout each day.
   

Education, Training, Certification(s), and Minimum Years of experience required:

  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of Technician level experience in any industry (electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, automotive, aerospace or basic vacuum), OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ Years of Military experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of Technician Level experience working in a Semiconductor environment.
   

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software and Tools:

  • Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedural changes also required.
  • Ability to demonstrate electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent critical thinking, planning skills and execution of multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time.
  • Will be required to complete training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment.
  • Experience installing semiconductor equipment in a wafer fab environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with 300MM equipment in at least one module is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with facilities, OEMs and sustaining engineering teams to install equipment at an accelerated rate preferred.
  • Ability to implement and operate in a highly structured approach.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and be able to communicate/present plans and results.
  • Ability to go broad across multiple toolsets and processes yet have the ability to dig in deep on specific topics.

Shift:  1st shift, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (May require weekend/hour flexibility).
