We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Geologist to our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. 

$25 to $31 hourly full-time, with benefits 

This role will complete a broad range of tasks including completion of due diligence investigations, site remediation, UST assessment and decommissioning and other types of environmental assessments at sites in Oregon and Washington. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in geosciences, environmental engineering, or a related field 
  • Critical thinking and data evaluation skills 
  • Strong writing and verbal communication  
  • Good organization 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodations  
  • Valid driver’s license 

Desirable Qualifications 

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience 
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher 
  • Current UST licenses (Oregon/Washington) 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Perform fieldwork such as environmental drilling, groundwater monitoring and tank decommissioning oversight 
  • Collect environmental samples (air, groundwater, stormwater, soil)  
  • Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM Designation E1527 
  • Conduct subsurface environmental site investigations 
  • Field oversight of construction and/or remedial action projects related to cleanup actions, underground storage tanks, waste management, site development, or environmental systems 
  • Travel to project sites within Pacific Northwest
