English copywriter for movies & TV shows (Indian market): Freelance for 10h/week
JustWatch (www.justwatch.com) – the world’s leading movie and TV show streaming guide – is looking for a passionate copywriter (EN) who can contribute to our mission of 100 million monthly visits by covering the Indian market.
We are looking for somebody with curiosity, drive, and passion with an ability to continually develop their skills. Our team shares a goal-driven mentality, applying common sense and pragmatism to everything we do. We also have a working environment where your creativity is encouraged.
Your role:
- Creating original copy in English for fields such as movie/TV synopsis, news updates and descriptions of content providers (streaming services). As we develop upcoming projects, there may also be opportunities to write news, reviews and shareable social media content
- Staying up-to-date with movie & TV show releases – including everything from hit Indian TV shows to the latest American blockbusters
- Writing and maintaining texts about the latest entertainment news
- Researching and staying on top of upcoming movie & TV show releases
- Working closely with an international copywriting team
For this particular role we are looking for:
- A native English speaker with excellent written and verbal skills
- Previous copywriting experience (ideally focused on SEO). Editorial experience is a considerable bonus
- A knowledge and passion for movies, TV shows and the Indian entertainment industry
- You are intrinsically motivated and ambitious (having your own hobby project such as a entertainment-related blog is a considerable plus point)
- You have an excellent eye for detail for everything from proofreading to recognising reliable sources online
- Excellent communication skills, punctuality and the ability to efficiently work remotely
