Job Summary 

As Shinola’s Email Marketing Manager you’ll directly drive both the strategy and execution of our email channel and its impact on the overall eCommerce business. You will have the opportunity to build a world-class email program that engages our new and existing customers in a personalized, data driven way.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the Shinola customer journey from end to end with personalized, data driven campaigns and automations
  • OWN the eMail “P&L” to ensure contribution to overall revenue meets or exceeds goals
  • Evangelize the email channel by building strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and teams throughout the Shinola organization
  • Architect the data sources, dimensions and profile information needed to support our email program and drive related projects forward
  • Partner with Retail on omni-channel strategies that leverage email to drive both in-store and eCommerce wins
  • Build a creative and content framework for email that helps align all contributing teams on best practices and tactics proven to work in our business
  • Build reporting and analytics solutions that tell the story of the email business, track goals and select KPIs
  • Actively test email campaign creative, messaging, product and audience variables and share learnings with relevant stakeholders to improve future efforts
  • Drive subscriber acquisition strategy and tactics in an effort to grow our audience and 1st party data
  • Support our merchandising strategy with email campaigns promoting new products launches, updates and regular awareness of core products
  • Execute seasonal email strategies that create urgency and buzz leading into holidays throughout the year
  • Ensure emails strategies are sustainable in regard to deliverability and unsubscribe rates and ensure we are growing an audience of active users

Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4 + years email marketing experience with consumer brands of $30M+
  • Experience working with enterprise level ESPs
  • High aptitude with email analytics and how to effectively measure email campaigns at both a granular and high-level
  • Highly detail oriented and a skilled planner

Nice to Have 

  • Previous ecommerce experience in retail/fashion/luxury
  • Hands-on experience with Retention Science

Hiring Overview: 

  • HR Phone Screening - 30 minutes via Microsoft Teams (camera off)
  • Technical Interview with Hiring Manger  - 1 hour via Microsoft Teams (camera on)
  • Take home assignment - 30minutes -2 hours of work
    • note: select positions may not require a case study assignment
  • Final Interview with Panel - 1 hour via Microsoft Teams (camera on)
