Role Summary: 

EDI Team is an integral part of Rivian’s supply chain operations that enables exchange of business transactions helping build and ship finished vehicles. This role will give you a rare but mighty opportunity to work on a clean slate EDI Implementation in the Automotive industry producing cutting edge Electric Vehicles. 

As an EDI Analyst you will be responsible to help the EDI team with ramping up supplier onboarding and help Procurement, Planning, Logistics and Finance teams to exchange critical messages with Suppliers via EDI to keep up with Production targets. An ideal candidate must have worked with trading partners to setup EDI exchange from scratch and knows in and out of trading partner setup and key supply chain processes. We are looking for a persistent, meticulous and an efficient candidate who is willing to make a difference in the EDI world.  

Responsibilities

  • Work within Rivian’s Supply Chain team on ramping EDI Program for supply base. 
  • Ramp-up EDI onboarding for new and/or existing suppliers to enable data exchange for key EDI transactions, undertaking all the tasks but not limited to below – 
    • Trading Partner & Communication Setup:
      • EDI Communication setup using IBM SCBN(Sterling) with protocols such as VAN, AS2, OFTP2, SFTP, FTP, etc.
      • Trading Partner profile setup with respective EDI transaction on middleware platform (Dell Boomi) as well as ERP(SAP).
      • Guide suppliers through their questions and concerns during EDI setup. 
    • Run end-2-end test cycle to ensure adherence to Rivian’s EDI implementation guidelines. 
    • Coordinating EDI transaction go-live sprints with all the key stakeholders.
    • Support infant care/hyper care support for the Suppliers once onboarded on EDI. 
  • Deliver on primary onboarding targets set by the Project/Program Lead. 
  • Work cross-functionally within Supply Chain team (Purchasing, Logistics, and Program Management) and external teams (Material Planning, Warehousing, Finance) to ensure that the EDI mapping is done correctly and that all the business scenarios are captured during the map development. 
  • Support ad-hoc analyses and reporting onboarding status for Suppliers.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of EDI experience with standards such as ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT.
  • Hands-on experience with most or all the following transactions:
  • X12 – 830, 862, 856, 810, 850, 855, 860, 866, 204, 210, 214, 315
  • EDIFACT – DELFOR, DELJIT, DESADV, INVOIC, ORDERS, ORDRSP, ORDCHG.
  • Preferred if experienced working with SAP S/4 HANA and the corresponding modules such as Procurement, Material Planning, Logistics and Accounts Payable.
  • Ability to utilize SQL/Tableau (Optional), Excel for business analytics and report generation.
  • Experience working with Integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Microsoft BizTalk, SI, etc.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional value streams like Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, Production\Inventory Control and Program Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • EDI Communications Platform 
  • Procure-to-Pay Systems and Data Infrastructure landscape. 
  • Business Intelligence Systems
