The Director of Messaging Integration PMO – Transformational Projects, will work closely with the Integration and Transformation Leads and a broader stakeholder group. The transformational projects will be primarily focused on technical and organization wide initiatives such as financial-, activity-, dependencies-, resource-, risk planning and managing, platform migrations etc.
The essence of the role
As Director of Messaging Integrations you will be responsible for end-to-end program management of the BU E&M’s Messaging integration transformation efforts and strategic initiatives, mainly coming from our Merger and Acquisition (M&A) strategy. The role will be responsible for project visioning and scoping, benefits and quality management, stakeholder management, project planning including milestone management, risk / issue management and reporting. Key skills which will be integral to deliver these responsibilities will be financial management, project prioritization, resource forecasting, dependency management, maintaining project operations including action logs, key assumptions etc. and other Program Management Office (PMO) best practices.
As PMO Director - Transformational Projects your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure successful execution of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
- Establish Project Management frameworks and standards to manage and compile program related financial and KPI information. Oversee project costs, resourcing and ensure finances are well managed as per budget.
- Create project plan and maintain and update project governance frameworks including Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, Issue Register, and all related documentation.
- Ensure cross-functional / cross-program dependencies are identified, managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
- Manage program reporting and assist team in creating updates for senior management and stakeholder consumption
- Proactively manage changes in program scope and identifying, assessing and escalating issues
- Build cohesion within the team and motivate team to produce quality work and manage program expectations with team members.
- Define and embed project control and governance.
- Coordinate project closure to distil good practices and ensure lessons learned are logged.
- Total end to end program perspective ensuring all parts are aligned in the scoping and execution of the projects/programs.
- Financial/resource tracking, reporting, escalation and ensure that we are aligned with business case, targets, forecasts etc
- Key stakeholder communication, mgmt. which largely will be E&M LT and some other key stakeholders
- Success is measured on cost, quality, time and customer experience.
Who are you?
- You have worked on large scale technology-oriented projects related to platform migrations and / or master data management.
- You can speak credibly and confidently about technology and how it can be used to solve business issues related to master data management, platform migrations etc.
- You have Outside the box thinking ability and are creative at problem solving.
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and are not afraid to deal with stressful situations or taking the lead.
- You are used to cross-functional collaboration and great at relationship building.
- You have excellent organizational, analytical, and trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities.
- You have exceptional program management skills, the ability to track and manage complex programs across seniority levels and functional teams.
- You are open to setting Best Practice and showing the way re PMO structures and governance processes in complex matrix environments.
- You are a people person, with an ability to partner with a diverse, global leadership team.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
To contribute to this role, you need:
- 10+ years of successful project management experience leading large complex projects.
- Experience managing large projects through a PMO structure or supporting a PMO as a workstream lead.
- Experience from working in M&A due-diligence and integration phase.
- Master of Science degree or similar
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal savvy
- Results/action-orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- PMP, Prince2 (or equivalent) certified.
- 3+ years of technology consulting / general management consulting experience
- Geographical placement for the role needs to be in the European time zone(s), and preferably in Stockholm (Sweden)
It's a big plus if you also have:
- MBA or other advanced technical degree
- Sector proficiency: IT, Telecom, Technology
