Director of Marketing, iHerb Brands

Job Summary:

The Director of iHerb brands will lead iHerb’s portfolio of house brands growth & brand development, including its flagship California Gold Nutrition supplement line. Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Ecommerce, this role will lead a team to develop strategic brand direction & positioning, and creative & media strategy while working cross-functionally to drive execution via internal teams and external partners.

 

Job Expectations:

  • Lead a team of brand managers to drive global growth and brand awareness of iHerb’s owned brands portfolio across the VMS, beauty and personal care categories.
  • Lead product content and creative strategy for all product labels, digital distribution channels, communications, and offline & B2B channels.
  • Drive development of new sales channels for house brands B2B and B2B sales, both online and offline. Collaborate with B2B sales team.
  • Develop integrated marketing/ promotional campaigns for House Brand portfolio, and drive execution in partnership with internal marketing functions and external partners.
  • Work closely with merchandising and international market teams to craft product development strategy, creative, and growth plan in line with global consumer trends in the vitamin & supplement category.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team on new brand & product development, with an eye toward global markets.
  • Manage the pricing strategy for brand & product portfolio, and monitor product performance against growth & gross margin targets.
  • Lead the development and creation of category, consumer, shopper and brand stories & differentiation.
  • Work with Business Intelligence and international teams to develop robust customer shopping & category trend analyses.
  • Lead and develop the promotional and social media calendar for product marketing, in collaboration with the marketing operations & promotions team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

  • Industry related experience, preferably with natural/organic products
  • In-depth knowledge of the Dietary Supplement, Personal Care and Health Industries
  • Obsessive attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Self-starter with experience managing projects from inception to completion
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, diplomacy, and judgment.
  • Strong teamwork ethic, positive proactive flexible attitude, and ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities.

 

Equipment/Software Knowledge:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
  • High aptitude and ability to make efficient use of online productivity and communication tools, in our case with the Google Workspace suite and Asana.
  • Experience and familiarity with online marketing and ecommerce platforms, for instance, Google Ads, Meta Ads platform, Channeladvisor, marketplaces, other paid social and communications platforms.

 

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of 6+ years of experience in brand management, preferably in the health and wellness space.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience is required.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.

Employees will also be eligible for Time Off and Paid Sick Leave pursuant to the company’s policies. Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.
