About the role

Halter is pioneering a new way of farming that is more productive and sustainable. We’re looking for a world-class Marketing Director to market this new way of farming throughout New Zealand and globally. Marketing is core to our business and it is a vital bridge between our inspiring farmers, our groundbreaking product and our powerful brand. You’ll be leading a team made up of superstars with a thriving culture.

Lead the Marketing function to deliver revenue and customer outcomes across NZ and global markets

  • Drive performance across our pipeline by leading our Brand, Demand-gen, and Go to Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Lead high ROI, high-impact marketing campaigns that resonate with our community, enhance our reputation and drive revenue growth.
  • Integrate marketing data and insights across the business to inform a cohesive customer experience and excellent customer outcomes.
  • Work with the Business Development (Sales) team in a deeply collaborative and data-driven way.
  • Continue developing our brand as a competitive advantage to evolve from a category leader in Ag to a household name in New Zealand.
  • Balance long and short-term goals in a scale-up environment. You’ll drive short-term growth as you balance the big picture and our position in the market.
  • Drive the maturation of Halter's marketing team, systems and channels to drive growth

  • Lead a high-performing team and foster an exceptional team culture in a fast-paced environment.
  • Retain, support and develop exceptional talent and grow capability in your team.
  • Recruit top talent and manage consistent performance standards throughout the team.
  • Champion and instill Halter values in the team.

Cross-functional leadership:

  • Collaborate exceptionally well on complex, cross-functional priorities, building trust and rapport with other teams.
  • Report on Marketing activity, functional performance, key metrics, and market insights with the Executive team.
  • Play a key role in major company priorities.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture that delivers great outcomes for our farmers.

Who are we looking for

  • Proven experience leading and scaling an established marketing function at a high-growth technology company.
  • A track record of delivering marketing strategies that generate significant revenue ($5-10’s+ million).
  • A leadership style that is high performing and deeply caring for team members, with a track record of building talent in teams across different cultures and geographies.
  • Evidence of thriving in a fast-paced environment with ambitious targets.
  • Proven experience driving conversion through the pipeline and using data to drive outsized growth.
  • Proven experience successfully scaling and expanding marketing operations internationally.
  • Extensive product marketing experience that reinforces positioning and drives customer adoption.
  • Experience in a B2B marketing environment.

We do have flexible working hours and you can work from home when you need to but we encourage our team to be in the office as much as you can.
