Director of Demand Generation

InfluxData is looking for an experienced and talented leader of Demand Generation to join our Marketing team. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will work in a collaborative team setting. You will be responsible for targeting and acquiring developers interested in time-series solutions, spanning self-service pay-as-you-go customers to large Fortune 500 enterprise organizations. 

Reporting to the VP, Growth and overseeing the Demand Generation team, you will work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing stakeholders to design and measure lead generation campaigns that engage prospects and customers to generate new acquisition and drive customer growth. You and your team will not only run recurring programs, but experiment with new approaches, tools, and develop a methodology for experimentation, observation, and action in our go-to-market process. 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to our high performance Growth engine; leading a team and delivering on our key quarterly metrics.
  • Create and execute multi-channel Demand Gen programs that build and accelerate the pipeline across organic and paid digital channels. Draw upon webinars, white papers, email marketing, content syndication, conferences, meetups, partner events, InfluxDays, and other hosted events.
  • Own and monitor campaign and channel effectiveness and regularly triage all stages of the funnel to uncover opportunities for optimization, and rapidly iterate on strategy.
  • Work closely with our Analytics team - make use of our internal data analytics platform to derive insights, look for signals, provide context and prompt for decisions and action.
  • Partner with others across the Marketing organization – articulate the personas and segments we target in our Demand Gen programs; make use of the educational & explanatory content we produce, and understand how customers progress through stages of engagement with our products.
  • Work closely with our Sales team - understand the early to late stages of deal-making, ensure seamless alignment of our goals, and collaboratively experiment with interventions to accelerate funnel velocity.  
  • Analyze and share results in regular cadence with company leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing with campaign budget and pipeline or revenue responsibility
  • Extensive experience in high-growth B2B tech marketing, preferably in a developer-focused industry
  • Experience in, and a passion for, hiring and leading teams
  • Deep understanding of sales pipeline, key drivers, and the role that marketing plays at each stage of the buyer and customer journeys
  • High energy and highly results-oriented with a track record of success in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Ability to take on dual role of player/coach, shifting between strategic planning and rolling up your sleeves to get things done
  • Executional excellence: able to consistently deliver on time and under budget
  • Expertise in, or ability to quickly learn, platforms and tools used in our demand generation effort, including key tooling and marketing software such as Marketo, Drift, Salesforce, and more.

Pay Transparency at InfluxData

InfluxData takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The offered starting salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Ranges are evaluated on a periodic basis and are subject to change at the Company’s discretion.

Compensation Range: $175,000 - $225,000
