Tempo.io is seeking a highly skilled Director of Demand Generation and ABM to lead the development and execution of demand generation strategies to drive new business and expand the existing customer base. Reporting into the VP of Growth, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading a team of experts in SEO, Performance, Programmatic Outbound, and Content Syndication programs to design, implement, and measure demand generation initiatives, tactics, and campaigns.

As Director of Demand Generation and ABM, you will orchestrate demand generation and ABM programs that effectively engage target upmarket accounts and move them through the buyer's journey, utilizing personalized email and social media outreach, targeted advertising, and custom content. You will continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics and strategy accordingly, utilizing A/B testing and other optimization techniques. In addition, you will work closely with Sales leadership to ensure quality demand delivery and follow-up according to established SLAs, as well as design and execute targeted 1:few ABM marketing initiatives to meet pipeline requirements.

 The Role 

  • Design, implement, and measure demand generation initiatives, tactics, and campaigns to support strong quarterly sales pipeline and revenue goals

  • Build and lead a team of experts focused in SEO, SEM, ABM, Performance, Programmatic Outbound, and Content Syndication programs. 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven demand generation strategy and channels to drive new business and expand the existing customer base.

  • Lead execution of the associated plan, including scope, target outcomes, key metrics and measures, and required inputs and resources to deliver

  • Orchestrate demand generation and ABM programs that successfully engage target upmarket accounts and move them effectively through the buyer's journey, utilizing tactics such as personalized email and social media outreach, targeted advertising, and custom content.

  • Continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics and strategy accordingly, utilizing A/B testing and other optimization techniques.

  • Create strategies and tactics to penetrate executive teams and engage senior leaders of large enterprises

  • Partner with the Sales leadership to ensure quality demand delivery and follow-up according to established SLAs, utilizing tools such as SalesLoft and ZoomInfo.

  • Align specific, measurable outbound campaign motions for Inside Sales team members to generate demand

  • Design and execute targeted 1:few ABM marketing initiatives to meet pipeline requirements

  • Leverage data and insights to build and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas; oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to create and gain consensus for cross-portfolio GTM plans and partner marketing initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes

  • Evaluate, select and manage vendors and agencies to help translate goals into deliverables

  • Develop and execute performance and programmatic advertising campaigns to reach target audiences across various digital channels, including display, video, social and native ads

  • Oversee keyword research to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth and create a comprehensive SEO strategy to improve website visibility and rankings.

 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related fields; MBA is preferred

  • 7+ years of demand generation experience working in a fast-growing, start-up environment (B2B preferred)

  • 5+ years of demand generation leadership in a SaaS environment

  • Expertise in understanding data, telling stories, and executing across channels to create a customer-focused experience

  • Experience running campaigns and programs that directly drive pipeline growth using modern marketing tools and channels, coupled with a desire to seek ways to enhance our results through optimization, testing and other means

  • Proven experience scaling demand generation and ABM programs through technology, data and process with demonstrated ROI

  • Demonstrated ability to roll up your sleeves as the first demand gen employee while recruiting and building a talented team

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Analytical problem-solver with decisions informed by data and ability to draw insights to continually optimize campaigns

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to track campaigns, scale success, and maximize effectiveness

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate technical information.
