Director of Business Development

We are looking for a driven, experienced Business Development leader to help grow and develop our global team of Business Development Representatives. As our Director of Business Development, you will play an integral role within our revenue organization and work strategically to drive process and coach and enable your team to exceed targets. Our Business Development team is the generator of high quality sales leads that fuel our high velocity sales engine and we’re looking for a data-driven leader to lead these efforts. This is a highly visible and impactful role, reporting directly to the CRO.

About you 

You have successfully led high-performing teams of BDRs. You are high-energy and team-oriented and know how to motivate your team to reach greater heights. You are also a strategic operationalist who utilizes data to make decisions and set strategy for your team. You understand how to create a unified BD culture and motion that supports various sales teams across multiple geographies. You have experience driving outbound efforts but know how to partner with Marketing to optimize the inbound pipeline as well. 

As our Director of Business Development, you will 

  • Lead a high-performing team of BDRs in a manner consistent with SourceScrub's core value system and embody our EVERY DAY MATTERs sales culture 
  • Provide individual development and coaching to the members of your team 
  • Ensure low turnover across your organization by modeling team behavior and creating a fun and exciting environment 
  • Develop and use dashboards and analytics to drive achievement of objectives and continuous improvement 
  • Proactively manage staffing to ensure adequate capacity to meet the growth plan  
  • Drive a rhythmic structure of daily, weekly and monthly performance  
  • Continually optimize the sales process and technology to maximize the efficiency of the selling process  
  • Partner closely with our Marketing function to drive high quality leads 
  • Identify and adopt practices that improve our performance while maintaining consistency with our culture and team values 
  • Implement special incentive programs to drive incremental sales volume and attachment of programs or features 
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the product and services associated with the SourceScrub Platform 

To be successful you should have 

  • 5+ years sales/business development team management experience with a focus on cold outbound outreach 
  • Experience in a sales role at a high-growth SaaS or DaaS company 
  • Bachelor's Degree - Finance-related degrees are especially welcome! 
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding goals and a commitment to achieving performance  
  • Strong analytical approach background and ability to use data to drive decisions   
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both in-person, on the phone and over email 
  • Ability to shift priorities, demonstrate flexibility, coordinate multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines 
  • Experience with Salesforce/Outreach/Outlook/Microsoft Suite and other sales tools 

Compensation 

  • On target earnings of $180,000 plus equity 
  • In addition to the cash compensation, we offer robust medical/dental/vision plans, 401K, flexible PTO including quota-relief for sales reps, $5,000/year towards learning and other perks depending on location
