We are now looking for a Director, Hardware Product to lead the team responsible for delivering the roadmap for Oura’s hardware products. The Director, Hardware Product works in close collaboration with engineering, marketing, business, science, and software departments to define an unrivaled product experience and make it a reality.

The location of this role can be flexible (within Finland), however frequent travelling to Oulu is required.

What You will do:

  • Take ownership of leading the device portfolio from concept to market while ensuring the portfolio supports the company strategy and meets defined business objectives.
  • Collaborate with a global, cross-functional leadership including design, engineering, marketing, finance, customer experience, manufacturing, and QA to deliver the best possible customer journey while ensuring we meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a compelling customer journey and user experience goals. Define product use cases and requirements. Manage product requirements throughout the product life-cycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, drive product innovation, build scenarios and options for key decisions, build cross-functional consensus and drive clear decision making
  • Translate external market data (research, reports) and competitor intelligence to actionable insights for the development team

We would love to have You on our team, if You have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in (consumer) product management
  • Experience in leading and managing product teams
  • Solid experience in consumer (device) product management taking products from PRD definition to commercial launch
  • Strong storytelling skills: ability to combine technology and business opportunities to a cohesive and compelling story that excites both internal and external audiences
  • Good understanding of wearable and health technologies
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of products which are in different phases of the product life-cycle
  • Business acumen and the ability to estimate end-to-end ROI for product investments
  • Ability to collect and leverage external and internal data and information
  • Good written and presentation skills - ability to create a PRD and present topics effectively to a senior, cross-functional team enabling decision making
  • A proven track record of working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams in an international environment
  • Ability to periodically work in the Oulu office, attend regular evening meetings and travel internationally for cross-functional meetings
