ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Director, Corporate Marketing, you will lead the team responsible for building the BioNews brand and sharing the BioNews story. This role will successfully promote the company through strong CRM marketing, PR, and communication programs as well as through establishing industry leading patient panels and expert voice events.
The qualified candidate will be a driven and engaged senior leader with a successful track record of building brand awareness and industry thought leadership.
Reporting to the President, the Director, Corporate Marketing must have experience across public relations, brand development, creative, digital marketing, social media, and thought leadership development.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Define and execute corporate marketing and brand strategy, resulting in consistent branding, messaging and positioning of BioNews to the pharmaceutical and life science industries as the industry leader in rare disease patient population insights and access.
- Manage the development and integration of CRM marketing programs, digital health marketing/media strategies, processes and systems.
- Manage corporate communications including executive communications, messaging development, and PR.
- Oversee event strategy and execution for industry conferences and events as well as internal events and seminars.
- Create and execute a community relations plan that attracts new contributors and engages the rare disease communities and healthcare providers who service and treat such communities.
- Manage, build, and lead a strong team by recruiting, coaching and developing team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of experience in corporate and brand marketing in the pharmaceutical or digital health publishing industry.
- 6 + years of experience leading the development of exciting and effective awareness and brand marketing campaigns that influence pharmaceutical brand and agency buyers.
- 6 + years of experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn for corporate promotion.
- Technical background or good understanding of digital health publishing and an operational understanding of the products sold.
- Proven experience bringing new campaigns and ideas to life.
- Proven record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving, technical environment.
- Proven record of evolving a brand’s position to a new market category that aligns it with current market and customer priorities.
- History with successfully utilizing events as a key platform for growth in the awareness and demand generation.
