Silverback Strategies is looking for a Digital Marketing Project Manager to join a high-growth performance marketing team and play a key role in our acceleration as an agency.
The Digital Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for the health of client relationships, working with service teams to ensure delivery of cohesive cross-channel digital strategies. To thrive in this role, you must be a dynamic problem solver able to juggle multiple projects at once with outstanding attention to detail. You’ll exhibit clear communication both internally and externally, and be able to adjust at a moment’s notice to changing project parameters & prioritization levels. You’ll have agency experience coming in and will already have a level of expertise in digital marketing, but in this role you’ll take your skills to the next level, expanding your impact by consulting with our teams and clients to maximize the impact & efficacy of our digital delivery. This role will report to one of our Directors of Client Services.
Here's what we expect from our new Digital Marketing Project Manager.
What You'll Do
- Act as a strategic client relationship manager, facilitating a positive client experience with every client interaction — making the client feel as though they are “in good hands” — while not getting thrown off by unexpected questions, requests, or concerns.
- Outline project requirements and develop detailed action plansWork with clients to understand and maintain up-to-date records of each client’s unique business structure, function, goals, objectives and priorities
- Employ your understanding of digital marketing and Silverback’s deliverables to answer client questions, gather project requirements, and facilitate appropriate action plans.
- Support client communication, including timelines and feedback across cross-functional teams
- Play a role in developing project scopes by collaborating with the client, appropriate internal teams and Sales to move the request from idea through estimation and execution
- Take an active role in client calls by preparing call agendas, taking calls notes, and identifying action items, follow-ups, & client updates and deliverables
- Leverage internal software, processes and workflows to house action items, client updates and facilitate cross-team communication
- Work closely with account & product leads to ensure accurate, on time and on budget delivery of all deliverables in a given client project
- Understand the entire scope of a project or given client engagement, and understand accordingly when to pull in what internal team or resource to ensure project’s successful, timely completion
- Understand scope of work in place for your account portfolio and following the correct protocol to estimate and bill for out of scope work
- Maintain task management and project management systems in alignment with established processes
- Ensure progress towards hourly retainers, action plans and project and campaign goals
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of digital marketing experience
- Must have prior experience in an AGENCY setting!
- You don’t necessarily need to have prior experience in a Project Management specific role, so long as you have experience with digital marketing strategy & delivery. (That can be in Paid Search or Social, SEO, Content, etc!)
- Demonstrated track record of successfully serving as the liaison between internal teams & clients, and providing outstanding customer service.
- Skilled at client relationship management and building relationships with a wide range of personality types & stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate complex situations, challenging conversations with clients etc
- Knowledge of project management systems (we use Asana) and workflows
- Experience managing multi-service relationships and complex projects
- Knowledge of digital channels and how they work together (Paid Media, SEO, Conversion Rate Optimization, Email, Content, Creative, Social, etc.)
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Ability to accept constructive criticism in a professional manner and to learn from edits
- Acts as a team player and is willing to pitch in when needed
