In 2016, we launched Anzu Industrial Capital Partners, our first venture equity fund, to invest in North American-based private industrial technology companies with approximately $128m in committed capital.  In 2019, we launched our second industrial and life science technology fund, Anzu Industrial Capital Partners II, with $190m in committed capital and an expanded set of institutional investors.  In early 2020, we launched our growth capital fund, Anzu RBI Preferred Mezzanine and became a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In 2022, we will close our third fund with approx. $220M in committed capital.

While Anzu Partners focuses primarily on the United States and Canada, we have invested in companies with substantial operations in Singapore and Australia. Our portfolio includes companies that have achieved breakthroughs in the physical sciences, such as developing the first high-powered blue-wavelength laser for no-spatter welds, and the life sciences, such as receiving the first FDA approval for a blood test for concussion.  Our companies deliver strong returns for our investors, whether through public listing via IPO or acquisition by larger industrial players such as Siemens, and drive discoveries that improve our world.

About the role

Join Anzu as the Digital Marketing Manager to lead brand awareness and lead generation initiatives for the firm and our portfolio companies across climate tech, life sciences and industrial tech. The Digital Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to build out the platform offering, support our portfolio of start-up companies through their next phase of growth, and be resident subject matter expert on all things digital. In this role, you will be responsible for digital strategy, content development, and marketing tech stack management. Key responsibilities include:

 Digital Strategy

Identify opportunities to grow through digital marketing channels.

    • Set digital marketing strategy and run campaigns across channels and platforms
    • Leverage a data-driven approach to manage campaign performance
  • Assess growth opportunities, both organic and paid, and recommend tactics
    • Manage social publishing and growth strategy
    • Identify opportunities to improve the performance of websites, including increased conversions, traffic, engagement, SEO
  • Develop best practices to share with Anzu portfolio companies on digital strategy and content marketing

 Content Marketing

Lead campaign planning, content roadmaps, and oversee initiatives from ideation to launch.

    • Own development and deployment of marketing campaigns across platforms – web, social, paid platforms, e-mail, events, webinars
    • Develop engaging content in many forms – from ads to email to marketing collateral.
    • Define distribution strategy to best meet business objectives
    • Measure and optimize for best results
  • Identify opportunities to optimize for lead capture and conversions and drive commercial activity

Program Management

Deliver impactful projects on time and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Bring a highly organized, detailed oriented, and data driven approach to all that you do. Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills are a must
    • Report on digital channel and campaign performance and make recommendations to drive the best possible outcomes
    • Manage content and performance using content management systems (e.g. WordPress) and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics) and CRM data (e.g. HubSpot). Evaluate additional tech platforms, as needed
    • Collaborate seamlessly with key stakeholders, including executives, design team and technical subject matter experts

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, with a proven track-record leading programs and campaigns that deliver results across channels.
  • In-depth experience working with the following marketing tools: Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Suite, and WordPress
  • Preference given to candidates who have demonstrated success in technical industries in the Anzu portfolio
  • Ability to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented, and organized
  • Must possess strong communication skills and solid business acumen
  • Adept at managing feedback
  • Nice to have: experience with programming languages (PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS)
