Your role
As our next Digital Communications Specialist, you join our Communications & Marketing team of 3 and growing. You roll up your sleeves to build our brand, owning all day-to-day social media activities for both SustainCERT and the Value Change Initiative. You’ll be the go-to team member for all things website, improving its performance and SEO - and hey, we're launching a new website with a custom-made CMS in the coming months! You’ll also work on further content like newsletter campaigns (we use Zoho), digital content to drive traffic in support of our Commercial teams, and more. You’ll also support the wider strategic work by researching social media trends to provide insights, recommendations, and ideas. When it comes to reporting, you’ll be the owner for both web and social reporting.
In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Communications. We have a modern performance review process in place, tailored towards coaching and mentoring to facilitate personal and professional growth. As SustainCERT scales up, possibilities for growth are endless!
Our Communications & Marketing team works largely in a remote fashion close to the CET time zone. Amsterdam is a hub for SustainCERT, so the team does gather there quite regularly. Ideally, you’re based in the Netherlands or Luxembourg for this role.
Your key tasks
- Manage day-to-day social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter) by creating tactical content plan/calendar and publishing engaging content to deliver brand messages;
- Lead all SEO activities, including implementing on-page and off-page optimization, keyword research and identifying link building opportunities;
- Develop, write, and edit digital content designed to drive traffic, promote engagement and support business objectives;
- Track analytics and create reports to provide insights and learnings from digital campaigns
You have these claims to fame
- Ideally, you will have worked for 2+ years in digital communications, and have strong knowledge of digital and social media best practices;
- You have a solid track record in managing social media platforms, improving engagement, and creating engaging digital content with SEO in mind;
- Your English skills are top-notch, and you love getting creative within the brand guidelines: your writing will have a direct impact on how our brand is viewed;
- Content management systems and social media scheduling tools are no strangers to you, and you feel comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Canva, Miro, Google Analytics and more;
- You feel passionate about sustainability & want to make an impact to halt the climate crisis
Bonus points for
- We’d love for you to have experience from the climate change domain, as this will speed up your onboarding;
- If you’ve worked on video editing, even better!
