We are recruiting a talented Design Team Lead to create visually appealing e-commerce content and lead a small subteam of graphic designers. The ideal candidate has an advanced understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and is obsessed with getting the details right. Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a small subteam of graphic designers. This involves mentoring and coaching, being a point of contact, quality checking design work, troubleshooting design and production issues, participating in twice-yearly designer reviews and weekly one-on-one sessions with designers, developing designer career development plans, presenting training to the team, and other related tasks.
- Reliably create top-level digital marketing materials for clients across a variety of industries.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent creative direction for each project.
- Research our brand partners, their marketplace, and their competitors.
- Conceptualize and develop effective marketing strategies.
- Manage multiple deadlines, projects, and clients’ portfolios.
- Coordinate the work of junior designers.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in supervising, managing, or leading graphic designers. Please detail in your application your experience supervising, managing, or leading graphic designers.
- Previous Senior Designer experience or three to five years of experience in lead design roles.
- Advanced Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
- Experience with eCommerce preferred but not required.
- Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
- Agency experience is preferred.
- Growth mindset.
- A strong portfolio that showcases your design eye and competency. Portfolios that include digital advertising and social media work will have an advantage over portfolios that do not.
- Ability to multitask and change gears at will.
- Fanatical about the small details and very organized.
- Passion for meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Understand and implement a fluid design style, bouncing between creating designs that can appeal to niche markets as well as designing for a broad demographic.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills. Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- The core hours of the position are equivalent to 8AM to 5PM MST - USA. This is a remote position.
- Adobe After Effects, InDesign, and Premiere skills are a bonus
