SCM is at the core of our business. All HelloFresh processes rely on SCM Tech to operate. We manage contracts with our suppliers, place orders, control the receipt of goods, handle inventory, keep track of the box labeling and production, and keep a close connection with different areas of the company, from Finance to Operations. Our challenge is to improve efficiency and reduce waste across the supply chain and our vision is to build the world’s leading, scalable, fully-integrated, food supply chain management platform.
Recently, we shifted our product and design teams away from purely the operational back-of-stage teams to holistic end-to-end teams, thinking through the entire front-of-stage to back-of-stage experience. This means that teams are incentivized to think all the way from the end customer to our internal customers to make the best HelloFresh we can.
The Design Manager is there to work with our teams of production planners, shift leads, fulfilment operations folks, and designers working on the customer experience to build a service that supports our ambitious growth plans. The complexity of supply chain changes and we need to build an adaptable system that works for our worldwide audience.
