We are looking for a Data Entry Operator I (Media Processor) to join our team at our main office located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Data Entry Operator operates a data entry device to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing. Job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, and an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment.
This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) covered position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Retrieve boxes from shelf at start of shift and move to cart upon completion of each box.
- Logs into workstation and loads media (disc, microfilm, fiche and flash drives, etc.) to extract for scanning using the required software.
- Scanned media may require additional adjustments or verifications:
- Check for multiple veterans and empty envelopes.
- Adjust quality or orientation as needed.
- Delete all blank images.
- Scan each batch for completion and save according to work instructions.
- Complete the unextractable form as needed.
- Make copies as needed.
- Reference work instructions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned per business needs.
Qualifications
- Able to read, write and speak English.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Successfully pass and maintain acceptable background checks and security clearances.
- Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Suite experience.

This job works near moving mechanical parts. Must have close vision, depth perception, and be able to tolerate moderately loud noise.
