The Data Engineering Manager is a Tribe Leader responsible for overseeing the Tribe's data architecture and deployment strategy, including data governance, quality, and security. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and compliant with industry regulations.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain a data governance framework.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all systems.
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data usage and performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers.
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve data management processes.
- Overview and provide feedback on the best architecture and design implementations of engineering solutions.
Our requirements for this position are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
- 2+ years of experience and skills managing and/or roles as leader in data engineering
- English level: Written and speaking advanced.
- 3+ years of experience using AWS
- Experience/familiarization with Data Lake architectures
- Advanced level of programming languages and modeling software, specially Spark, Python/Scala
- Project management skills (Project organization, prioritization and negotiation)
