The Role / Position Overview
Mandate Wire is a Financial Times-owned, subscription-based global news and data service that tracks and analyses the investment activities of institutional investors across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Mandate Wire’s editorial coverage is underpinned by large amounts of data gathered from various sources, including documents published by institutional investors.
In this role, Mandate Wire is seeking an executive with the ability to identify, collate and scrutinize a high volume of investment intelligence and data that can be translated into actionable insight for our clients. The role requires regular liaison with and training of a Manila-based team, which assists with data-gathering and research, and may also involve a small degree of lead generation for a team of US-based reporters. If international travel returns to normality, the candidate must also be able to make at least one annual visit to Manila. In addition, this executive will liaise regularly with the product and technology teams on ways to develop and enhance both our data gathering efforts and advise on ways to pull valuable insights from datasets. As the key guardian of Mandate Wire’s data offering, this role also involves an element of client interaction and assisting the sales team with individual data requests from our paying readers.
The role will report to the editor of Mandate Wire North America, but also work closely and frequently with the head of product development, the sales team, the global managing editor and other regional editors of Mandate Wire. This role would suit an ambitious executive with a keen eye for detail, a passion for gathering and structuring data, and the desire to become an expert in the field of institutional investment.
