The role...

A key member of the Marketing team, the Customer Marketing Manager is a revenue-centric marketer who will increase customer satisfaction through engaging marketing campaigns and use it to leverage business success. The position directly benefits sales and marketing teams by identifying cross-sell / up-sell opportunities and identifying opportunities to increase loyalty and retention.

This role requires creative marketing and communication skills to engage and motivate. You are a personable, outgoing marketer who will act as a liaison between customers and the rest of the organization. While you need to be able to work independently, you also know the importance of collaborating with other departments to create an incredible customer experience and reach business goals.

Reporting to: Senior Director of Product Marketing

What You'll Do

  • Build rapport with the customer team (Account Management and Customer Success) to increase upsell, cross-sell, and retention. Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) a primary focus for the business in 2023.
  • Lead and manage customer engagement and communication programs (e.g., e-mail communications to existing customers about new product feature releases, in-person and virtual events / workshops). 
  • Outcomes driven. Your campaigns will generate leads with trackable outcomes
  • Identify key customers that can act as a marketing channel via written and video recorded case studies, company speaking opportunities, etc.
  • Develop a customer lifecycle campaign program and work with marketing operations to implement
  • Create special marketing content for account management / customer success for at-risk customers
  • Create and build out customer advocacy and referral programs. 
  • Provide product feedback given by customer advocates to the Product Management team

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Customer Success, or Community building
  • BA/BS Degree preferred
  • Consistent track record of creating and/or leading high-impact customer engagement programs that drive both external and internal value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively connect with customers and influence internal counterparts to an aligned position
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to driving high-quality execution
  • Customer-first approach and ability to understand customer needs to develop programs that support and align to the customer journey
  • Strong program and project management background, including the ability to multi-task and work on several projects, often under tight parallel timelines
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and consistently deliver results and who can execute and track the success of campaigns from start to finish.
  • Comfortable carrying a quarterly upsell quota via campaigns that generate opportunities through your Customer Marketing channels. 
  • Proficiency and experience with: SalesForce, HubSpot, 6Sense, Paid LinkedIn, Pendo, and PlanHat (preferred)
