Corporate Sales Manager - Cement Industry

Job Summary:

Implement and execute our corporate sales strategy/plan to expand corporate customer base and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • · Establish the needs of corporate customers and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to meet those needs. ·
  • Ensure compliance with defined policies, procedures and guidelines in the execution of sales activities. ·
  • Articulate and engage in activities aimed at increasing market share through acquisition of new accounts and proper management of existing corporate accounts. ·
  • Ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded. ·
  • Maintain database of all corporate customers. ·
  • Proactively gather current customer data/information and regularly update customer database to ensure reliability and accuracy. ·
  • Act as first line contact/liaison between the organisation and its corporate customers. ·
  • Prepare discount approval requests where necessary and ensure endorsement by appropriate signatories. ·
  • Follow up and ensure quick and accurate dispatch of products to customers. ·
  • Track and manage credit sales to corporate clients and follow up to ensure prompt payment. ·
  • Follow up with relevant departments to ensure constant availability of products for corporate customers. ·
  • Prepare/compile periodic activity, financial and performance reports. ·
  • Log and address customer queries and complaints; escalate as appropriate and follow-up to ensure proper resolution.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Key Account

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related discipline
  • Post-graduate/ professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years relevant work experience

Skills and Behaviours

  • · In-depth understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry. ·
  • In-depth knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings. ·
  • Very good communication and relationship management skills. ·
  • Good customer service and people management skills. ·
  • Good data gathering and analysis skills. ·
  • High sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • High ethical standard
