Zoocha is hiring a

Copywriter / Content Specialist (Full or Part-time)

Hertford, United Kingdom
Full-Time

Zoocha is a specialist (Drupal) software development company that is proud to work with highly regarded organisations such as the United Nations, Financial Conduct Authority, Oxfam, and the NHS.

There are two important reasons why we are seeking a content designer to join our team:

  1. We have extensive expertise in designing and developing complex digital solutions for our clients, however, we often don’t communicate this in a concise and compelling way
  2. Our clients often lack content design expertise and look to us to support them with their content strategy - something we are currently not able to do

Role and Responsibilities

You will help shape our brand guidelines in relation to tone of voice, ensuring alignment across different content mediums and generally acting as a gatekeeper to the written word. Through the ‘Zoocha voice’ you will convey our ideas, experience and insight to a broad audience in a consistent, clear and engaging manner that would help us achieve our organisational goals and aspirations.

This will include:

  • Case studies: Working with project teams to document the journey in the delivery of a project, showcasing its highlights, success metrics and the challenges overcome.
  • Blog posts: Helping team members clearly communicate their ideas and insight, perhaps from an editorial perspective, or through a journalistic approach
  • Newsletter: Producing a regular email newsletter for clients and prospective clients.
  • Press releases: Generation of easily consumable press releases that may convey information about project launches, noteworthy news etc.
  • Social posts: Publishing ad-hoc topical posts, building a schedule of pre-determined posts, editing posts from the team etc.
  • Proposals: Contributing to, reviewing, and adding a sprinkle of je nais se quois to our tender documents and pitch material
  • Marketing and sales material: Helping to ensure that all of our marketing and sales collateral is of a high, consistent standard, along with being up to date
  • Website landing pages: Writing engaging copy for our website landing and service pages
  • Proofreading: Team members within Zoocha create a variety of documents for consumption by clients. Having a dedicated person to proofread these and provide editorial guidance ahead of the final review would be advantageous in many ways, such as consistency in structure and brand voice, clarity and readability.

Another important part of the role will be working with our clients to help them shape their content strategies. We work with a wide range of high-profile organisations such as the NHS and United Nations, and we want to build our capability to help them communicate with their audiences. You will work with our project teams to help understand the needs of each client and make content design recommendations.

Personality and team fit are as important as your content design skills for this role – Zoocha is an informal and enjoyable environment to work in where everyone leaves their ego at the door.
