What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Content Strategist to join our marketing team!

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze user goals, competitive intelligence, and product information to help set our content strategy across channels.
  • Define content journeys for Bandwidth personas
  • Create a content calendar/plan to address the insights in the customer journey and strategy, ensuring the content is aligned to what the customer needs at each stage.
  • Measure the effectiveness of your content against defined goals and leverage data/market insights for decision-making including content optimization and new concept development.
  • Own the voice, tone, and style of Bandwidth’s content. Make sure all writing is consistent and meets Bandwidth’s established brand and content standards. 
  • Write text and/or copy-edit text and/or proofread text on an ad hoc basis for any cross-functional teams to resolve and support the creative vision for the client and company.
  • Be a customer advocate. Relentlessly champion the customer and the experiences they have with the content you create—how they find it, how they consume it, how they use it to make decisions.
  • Partner with members of the marketing team to plan for and write engaging content for product launches and promotions, email nurture programs, events and other initiatives.
  • Connect and build relationships with content contributors across the entire organization (including product leaders, executives, and people services) to elicit new ideas, create new content and optimize existing content.
  • Manage the timeline of assigned projects from request through delivery, ensuring that our work is delivered on time.

What You Need:

  • Four-year degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications or related field
  • 5 -15 years in a B2B copywriting, communications or marketing role
  • 7+ years of experience in a copywriting role in the software, tech, or B2B space. 
  • Command of the English language including grammar, syntax, diction, and the ability to write to a brand voice.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in the ability to give rationale for creative choices and strategy, and share project statuses, challenges, and solutions.
  • Recognized as a highly organized self-starter with a bias for action.
  • Experience with program performance tracking and communications.
  • A demonstrated track record of business impact through content
  • Understanding of content disciplines, including SEO, content strategy, and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal, client, and team relational skills with the ability to collaborate with many partners.

  • Background working in an agency
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Marketo or similar systems is a plus
  • 3+ years integrated marketing
