JD for the requirement: 

Position: Community Manager

Job Location: Gurgaon/ Hybrid

Duration of the engagement: Full-time/Part-time

 

Skills Needed:

  • Strong understanding of open-source technologies and code contributions
  • Project management, Digital Marketing, Event Management, Events Marketing
  • Familiarity with online platforms such as Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Medium, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Technical/Drupal background is a plus.
  • Strong communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm

What's on offer?

  • Help orchestrate internal Drupal contributions.
  • Lead community events to execution. Take leadership at organizing online and offline events such as Drupal Camps, code sprints, meetups, webinars.
  • Manage the local events calendar and ensure a constant flow of events.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with local open-source ecosystem partners, evangelists, and event organizers
  • Own community initiatives including newsletters, representation at DrupalCon, publish periodic reports.
  • Support and lead marketing for community initiatives. Manage outreach channels (social media, mailing list, etc.) to spread the word about all the initiatives especially events.
  • Be able to work flexible hours to interact with the community as frequently as possible.

What will a regular day look like?

  • Stand up in the morning with the Drupal.Org (D.O.) Contribution team
  • Coffee with friendly team members when in office, self-made when WFH
  • Participation in team discussions, sharing ideas and opinions
  • Connect with internal team members/global community representatives on ongoing/upcoming initiatives (including events), execution of tasks as planned
  • Get help to team members who need assistance while doing D.O. Contributions
  • Documentation of tasks, updates, and reporting
  • Shutting the machine after 8 hours of productive work.

Who can apply?

  • Someone who is familiar with open-source technologies and code contributions (Drupal background is a plus)
  • 3-7 years of experience running community initiatives and organizing/promoting small to large scale events.
