Oda is now present in Norway, Finland and Germany. We are constantly striving to improve our product and how we work across markets and to help us on this quest, we are now hiring for a Commercial business developer.
The Commercial Business developer is part of Customer Platform - responsible for building the best possible digital products for our customers and business. The role will be responsible for developing and driving forward our commercial strategic agenda and ensuring best practice ways of working across our local Commercial teams on topics such as such as negotiations, assortment, pricing and sourcing, as well as ensure commercial aspects is a key part of how we develop our shop experience and internal tooling. The role reports to Director of Product strategy and Operations and will work closely with head of Commercial across Norway, Germany and Finland and relevant Customer Platform teams.
What you’ll do as Commercial Business developer with us 🤸🏽
- Build, own and develop our Commercial best practice ways of working across markets:
- Optimizing, standardize and create best practice for how we work on key commercial processes across markets such as negotiations, promotions & campaign management, product information management and strategy
- Set up and run appropriate fora for best practice sharing and learnings across markets and relevant product teams
- Ensure we have a clear Commercial strategy guiding local and global priorities:
- Run the process for creating and aligning on our global strategy for pricing, promotions and assortment, in close collaboration with relevant global product teams and local commercial teams.
- Create decision material for strategic bets, including business case modeling and relevant analysis
- Support local Commercial Directors and relevant Customer Platform teams through 1:1 coaching and process support for creating and aligning local strategic and tactics.
- Project management of strategic project:
- Lead and coordinate complex cross functional product initiatives or programs within the commercial space needed to deliver on our strategy
- Support local Commercial directors with translating the strategic direction into concrete actions and plans, including setting up key local projects or programs.

The following will probably be helpful 💡
- Have worked 2-4 years within management consulting and/or retail with business development, project management and/or strategy
- Have experience working with grocery retail and/or e-commerce, and have strong knowledge of the inner workings of a commercial organization
- Have strategic or operational experience from the commercial space (e.g. pricing strategy, assortment strategy, category management, negotiation tactics)
- Have strong project management experience from previous work and experience with driving cross functional collaboration
- Have experience with building business cases, conducting analysis and preparing presentation material for driving action / decision making
