Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Workera’s Skills Intelligence Platform redefines how enterprises understand, develop, and mobilize talent. We empower organizations with actionable skills data that drives innovation across talent strategies in hiring, upskilling, mobility, and mentorship. Enterprises get an objective pulse on their workforce through our configurable skills ontology and AI-powered measurement at a granular level.

Our founders are Kian Katanforoosh, an award-winning Stanford Computer Science Lecturer who has taught AI to over 1 million people, and James Lee, former VP of Global Operations at Udacity. Our Chairman is Dr. Andrew Ng, co-founder of Coursera (NYSE: COUR), CEO of DeepLearning.AI, and founding lead of the Google Brain project.

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be the right-hand to our CEO, helping the company get through the many next phases of its growth. We're searching for a senior business operator with strong leadership skills, experience scaling go-to-market (including sales, marketing, and customer success) and ops (including finance, people, and business operations) functions, and operating a best-in-class growth-stage Enterprise SaaS startup. 

As the COO, you will be responsible for improving our company’s operations and procedures across all functions. You will lead the team to be more efficient, productive, and effective. We have a uniquely exciting product vision, and you will play a key role in making this vision a reality.

🧠  Here's what you'll do:

  • Collaborate with CEO in setting up the company’s strategy and driving execution
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  • Oversee daily operations of the company operations, the work of executives, and employee productivity to ensure organizational goals are met
  • Design and implement a scalable and unified go-to-market engine across sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
  • Manage capital investments and expenses strategically given market opportunity
  • Assist CEO in fundraising

⚒️ We hope that you have:  

  • 5+ years experience in business executive leadership role from Series A/B to later stage companies
  • Experience leading enterprise go-to-market functions
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Aptitude in decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning
  • Understanding of advanced operational business and financial planning
  • Solid grasp of Enterprise SaaS businesses and metrics
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues to mitigate risk
  • Experience leading distributed teams
