As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Carbyne, you will be responsible for driving growth and scaling the business through new partnerships and opportunities in the business-to-government and enterprise sectors. You will act as a C-level representative for the company, building relationships with key stakeholders and developing long-term plans to achieve performance targets and quotas. In this role, you will have broad responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company, including oversight of sales, marketing, and finance functions. In addition, you will be in charge of:

  • Executing and enhancing the CEO’s vision by translating it into an operational plan with measurable objectives to ensure the company's global growth.
  • Working closely with the management on developing the company's long-term and short-term strategic plans.
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the company and the work of the executives according to the company strategy, in order to maximize efficiency, performance, and productivity.
  • Set clear KPIs & goals for all departments and oversee their execution on a weekly/dual weekly and monthly basis. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
  • Developing and implementing systems and processes to standardize and streamline operations across the organization, with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
  • Responsible for communication and synchronization between the different departments.
  • Planning and building the site structure and hiring processes according to the business growth.
  • Making key decisions related to hiring, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Lead, inspire, develop, and motivate Senior Leaders to maximize potential and increase management's effectiveness.
  • Provide monthly progress reports to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer / CEO in a fast-growing global company.
  • International Travel Required.
  • Extensive experience in business development, specifically in the business-to-government and enterprise sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in presenting to the board of directors.
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets and quotas.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and methodologies to understand and drive financial performance.
  • Strong technical and product orientation (Tech / Product background - Advantage).
  • Excellent Analytical skills and using data to quantify problems and solutions
  • Strong administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly representative.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do & Hands-on approach.
  • Creative, open-minded, persistent, and highly collaborative.


It would also be nice if you have:

  • Familiarity with the emergency collaboration space.
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
  • A master's degree from a top-tier university

The pay range for this position in New York City is $300,000 - $350,000 + bonus + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401K). Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
