About the role
We're looking for a process driven, passionate, problem solver for the role of Chief of Staff to the CEO to assist in the continuing development of the executive team's vision and ideas.
The Chief of Staff to the CEO will design and execute strategic business initiatives from start to end under the guidance of our co-founder and CEO, help build and manage investor and C-suite level relationships for our CEO, and will work closely with departmental heads in decision making, initiative implementation, program management and improve the company's current processes.
We hire people who are collaborative, adaptable, communicate well, and love to learn. Expect to give and receive constructive criticism, as we are constantly seeking to push the innovation frontier while simultaneously growing as individuals and as a team. While we are interested in all qualified applicants, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven experience in a business management role, or 4+ years of experience in management consulting with a specific focus on executive-level advising and a knack for making things happen in a startup environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Help the CEO build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders- investors, customers and advisors on a daily basis.
- Work with the CEO to craft, plan and execute an efficient hiring, culture and operations strategy required to take the company to the next stage.
- Work as liaison between team members, head of departments and CEO, regarding company environment, project updates, planning, proposals and employee well-being and concerns.
- Oversee and improve daily operations through collaboration with CEO and senior leaders.
- Lead company OKR planning and KPI reporting.
- Develop quarterly and annual business models.
- Create and be in charge of particular projects such as future fundraising planning, metrics, employee’s incentives, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a business or executive management role or 4+ years of experience in management consulting- MBA is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting styles to different audiences - from CEOs to climate scientists.
- Demonstrated experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects from development to successful execution.
- Strong understanding of building, implementing, and tracking success metrics.
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
- Experience with budget management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment dedicated to efficient productivity.
- Most importantly, a passion for working to help address the issue of climate change.
