Position Summary
Swiftly is searching for an experienced and self-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing team. In conjunction with our recent Series C funding, Swiftly is in an exciting position to increase our brand exposure in the retail space while deciding what our presence will be in the advertising space. Our CMO will be our chief storyteller, charged with growing our brand, championing our customers, and helping to drive revenue. As a CMO, you will mainly be responsible for developing and implementing new marketing strategies and lead our marketing team by example. This role is primarily focused on business-to-business marketing; however, the ideal background is more focused on marketing skills than B2B or B2C.
Responsibilities Include:
- Set marketing goals and objectives
- Plan, implement and manage marketing strategy
- Contribute to the overall growth of the company
- Review and manage content marketing strategy
- Determine KPIs for the marketing department
- Help decide the overall marketing budget and keep that marketing budget in check
- Track KPIs on a regular basis and present reports
- Work with sales, retail development, and customer success teams
- Create and present the quarterly marketing plan and strategy to our board of directors and investors
- Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions
- Analyze company's marketing strategy and suggest improvements
- Stay up to date with the latest technology
- Stay up to date with the latest best practices
- Attend marketing conferences and educational programs
- Help guide and lead our robust in-person event planning
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years background overseeing high revenue marketing campaigns required
- 7 years of professional marketing leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, WebTrends, SalesForce, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of big data analysis
- Successful track record of scaling companies and proven project management abilities
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analysis, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to mentor and energize staff
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to creatively inspire teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years' experience in the marketing field
