Business Development Representative

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
      Nurture early-stage opportunities
      Lead outreach to defined prospect list and create your own leads from competitors
      Personalize communication to these leads. Comfortable with researching prospects and writing short, 5 bullet emails
      Perform cold call over the phone as needed
      Help our lead seller meet and exceed sales targets
      Build prospect lists, sales pipelines and research prospects to send a personalized note
      Follow up and build rapport with prospects
      Research what advertisers are running with our competitors
      Create or update customer records on the CRM system
      Identify key decision makers within new accounts
      Perform administrative duties, such as:
o Follow up on all client production orders and problem-solve any issues that may arise
o Maintaining organized and up-to-date records of clients and sales activity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ year in a sales development/business development function or relevant work experience
  • Prior experience in Business Development for Media (Preferred)
  • Experience in using a CRM for managing customer/client information (Boostr)
  • Background/knowledge on building proposals and insertion orders
  • Experience in making oral presentations and clearly articulating product offerings
  • Ability to meet a sales quota and utilize general sales techniques
  • Resilience and creativity in response to rejection

  • Ability to make Good time management skills and able to input/review data with a high level of accuracy

  • The ability to self-motivate - the BDR role can be unstructured. Your success will be dependent
  • on your ability to hold yourself accountable to getting the job done
  • A positive attitude and high degree of persistence and tenacity
  • Amenable to working US hours  and flexibility to work on weekends if necessary.
