Business Development Representative

Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, or Portugal. Conditions permitting, teams will meet in person a few weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly's hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków.

We believe this balanced, flexible approach gives our team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust, unlocks creativity, and further fuels innovation.

Please note our Kyiv hub is currently closed, and we hope the time comes soon when our team can meet again there. We continue to provide support to our Ukraine team members displaced within and outside of Ukraine.

Grammarly team members in this role must be based in Ukraine, Poland or Portugal.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Sales organization. This role will be responsible for reaching out to corporations, educational institutions, and government entities to sell Grammarly Business to professional teams.

Your impact

As a Business Development Representative, you will have an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the expansion of Grammarly’s developing enterprise product offering and accelerate the company’s growth goals. 

In this role, you will:  

  • Initiate contact with and qualify prospects as sales opportunities through outbound calls and emails.
  • Uncover prospects’ business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Support teams to execute Grammarly’s B2B marketing strategy for pipeline generation and new logo acquisition.
  • Manage pipelines and record all activities with prospects and opportunities.
  • Help maintain a high-energy environment on the Sales team and across the organization.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is able to collaborate in person 2 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub where the team is based. Please note that our Kyiv hub is currently closed, and we hope the time comes soon when our team can meet again there. In the meantime, we will not require anyone living in Ukraine to travel for in-person time until it's safe.
  • Has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in sales.
  • Can build rapport and make a good impression with leads.
  • Is not afraid to jump on a call to break the ice and create a bond.
  • Has experience working in sales development apps like Outreach, SalesLoft, or similar platforms.
  • Has experience in building and executing multi-touch sequences.
  • Can flawlessly communicate in English, both written and spoken.
  • Has relevant market experience (US, Canada, Australia, Europe).
  • Has CRM experience (particularly with CRM like Salesforce, and Zoho).
