Business Development Representative (BDR)

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll help find potential Arist buyers and turn them into customers. You’ll get to work with marketing, sales, and account management to help understand who buys our amazing technology and how we can help find more of them.

You’ll also get the chance to see the insides of how our current marketing and sales process works, and act as a go-between during the customer journey.

More specifically, in your day-to-day you’ll:

  • Help AEs find and generate leads through social media sites, industry publications, webinar attendees, conferences, and more
  • Work with members of our sales team to directly reach out to learning leaders and prospective buyers
  • Sit on client calls to understand learning leader pain points
  • Research and identify potential new types of buyers
  • Work with marketing to go through lead data and turn MQLs into SQLs
  • Leverage top sales tools like Salesforce and email sequencing to build the top of the funnel and build good relationships

You’ll be great for this role if you:

  • Have 6 months or more experience as a BDR at a B2B SaaS company
  • Experience at a high-growth B2B startup selling to Enterprise buyers (learning teams preferred)
  • Have experience generating leads and seeing how leads cross the chasm between marketing and sales
  • Are comfortable calling potential customers
  • Can use basic sales best practices while being creative with outreach
  • Have an ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing customer personas
  • Have an eye for good copywriting and outreach strategies
  • Enjoy working on a highly collaborative and scrappy team
  • Share a strong understanding of basic marketing and sales principles
  • Are familiar with a lead management tool like Salesforce
  • Have a knack for thinking in systems and improving processes."
  • Are keen to find smart ways to automate but also not afraid to manually tackle tasks.
  • Are passionate about the way people learn!
