Within Fender Global Sales we are focused on growing the universe of beginner players by enhancing their experience at each successive learning milestone. Our mission is to provide retail solutions and to support and nurture new players on their musical journey.  We are currently searching for a talented Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a remote position, preferably located in Remote US, Midwest territory.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing inventory needs, credit accounts and developing superior customer relationships for any and all assigned FMIC brands within their assigned territory.

About the Job:

  • Responsible for coordinating all areas of distribution their dealers participate in including catalog, web and brick and mortar
  • Provides regular reporting to upper management of important issues affecting sales of products in international markets
  • Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data and to make sales recommendations and decisions based on the data
  • Must perform effective financial analysis and product forecasting of the sales territory
  • Monitoring and managing the credit account for each dealer in their territory
  • Developing superior working relationships with all channels and sales offices within FMIC for all product lines and brands
  • Maintaining and developing dealer networks through regularly-scheduled in-person visits, as well as through regular phone calls and electronic communication
  • Working with dealers on in-store special events, trade shows, and regional events
  • Significant amount of travel within the territory is required, along with occasional travel for regional sales meetings, industry trade shows and meetings at Fender’s Hollywood or Arizona offices
  • Responsible for field marketing to provide analysis on key trends and competitive activity
  • Responsible for introducing new products to dealers via their sample account

What you need:

  • Excellent sales and prospecting skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales and territory management is required
  • Highly effective time management, planning, and multitasking ability
  • Knowledge of finance, inventory management, and forecasting
  • CRM experience
  • Ability to thrive in both a team environment and individually
  • High level of drive and ambition to succeed in a true “lifestyle role”
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and effective communication at all levels of FMIC and its clients
  • Clean driving record and the ability to travel 60% of the time
