Brand Marketing Associate

About this role: 

M.M.LaFleur is looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented associate to support the Brand Marketing team in bringing M.M.’s marketing to life. This role will be integral to the execution of our priority initiatives, including many of the daily activities that are crucial to the overall success of our team’s goals, including brand awareness, customer acquisition, and customer retention. You should be comfortable working both cross-functionally as well as with external partners in planning and executing these projects. You will have the opportunity to meet the M.M.LaFleur community in person at activations and other brand events and will work on building and expanding this community. Previous experience in event coordination or project management is required. 

This role reports to the Director of Brand and Integrated Marketing and sits on the Brand + Creative team. It is New York-based, in office 2-3x per week.  In-person attendance at these events outside of the traditional workday will be a regular requirement for this position.  Some travel may be required (less than 10% of the time).

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Support Director of Brand and Integrated Marketing on the planning and execution of all brand marketing initiatives, including many of the day-to-day activities that are crucial to the overall success of our team’s goals.  
  • Assist in the planning and execution of small- and large-scale digital and in-person activations in M.M.LaFleur’s existing retail locations and new markets. In-person attendance at these events outside of the traditional workday will be a regular requirement for this position. 
  • Drive sourcing + outreach of new influencer partners for both organic and sponsored content to drive brand awareness and new customer acquisition 
  • Compile reporting of key campaign success metrics & assist with presenting to internal stakeholders 
  • Produce press-ready materials and support the execution of all press preview events 
  • Place product requests for all influencers, editors, press, and stylists, and ensure an accurate tracking and returns process  
  • Streamline and organize brand contracts and invoice processes in accordance with brand budget 
  • Support the broader Creative team in project managing and executing campaign content where needed 
  • Champion the M.M.LaFleur brand and customer at all times 

Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in marketing-related roles, ideally in a startup, retail, or ecommerce environment 
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in event coordination and/or project management  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to think proactively and creatively and take an “answer first” approach to challenges
  • Experience collaborating with a team through productivity tools like Asana, Monday.com, or similar; experience with Shopify is a plus 
  • Solutions-oriented problem solver who can adapt and thrive in fast-paced environment 
  • Desire to work both in-person as well as remotely

    • The estimated pay range for this role, based in New York City, is $66,000 - $74,000.
    • This role will be eligible to participate in our company's equity program, 401k program, and benefits.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide. 

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
