The Role:

This position will entail the application of bioanalytical skills and molecular gene editing knowledge learned in the undergraduate classroom to on-the-job experiences in a state-of-the-art innovative bioanalytical laboratory supporting the development of in vivo gene editing therapeutics. We are seeking a curious, enthusiastic, competent, and self-motivated individual. This is a great opportunity to learn from seasoned biotechnology experts with emphasis on preclinical gene editing translation in the bioanalytical setting. 

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • The successful candidate will learn the workflow of a bioanalytical lab and shadow experienced scientists
  • Execute established protocols under supervision and perform assays such as ELISA, qPCR/dPCR/ddPCR, and/or capillary electrophoresis with intent for independent implementation
  • Adherence to good documentation practices
  • Maintain data integrity and rigor
  • Data entry into Benchling
  • Generation of summary data and reports
  • Presentation at research meetings
  • Attend Preclinical Research and cross functional meetings

 

Requirements:

  • Working towards a BS or BA degree in chemistry, biological science, bioengineering, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with bioanalytical assays is preferred but not required
  • Organized, independent, and collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
