The Opportunity

We are looking for a Banking and Payments Coordinator to join our Client Accounting Team as part of our financial services business in Luxembourg.

As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Luxembourg office opened its doors in 2007. As part of our Luxembourg team you will be performing below key duties:

Key duties:

The Banking & Payments Coordinator will be in charge of the day-to-day execution of bank transfers and administrative tasks related to client transfers, banking access and client billing. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Processing payments of client invoices and transactions including the preparation of the transfers, ensuring the bank account is sufficiently credited, obtaining the necessary authorized signature(s), submitting the transfer instruction(s) to bank and filing of the executed transfer instruction;
  • Requesting any SWIFT confirmation;
  • Checking the related transfer has been debited from the bank accounts (swift, multiline, bank statements) and ensuring that all payment instructions have been successfully executed;
  • Ensuring that internal systems are updated with all client bank account details, including authorised signatory regimes in force;
  • Providing weekly overview of bank accounts in overdraft;
  • Providing the clients with the monthly bank statements or any bank statement upon request;
  • Close monitoring of aged receivables;
  • Management of all Multiline contracts, including the set up and the maintenance of Multiline access for both staff and clients where requested;
  • Setting up any new clients in Multiline & assisting them in obtaining online access for Multiline;
  • Participation in ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required.

 

 

Requirements:

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Fluent in English;
  • Accounting or any other relevant degree;
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience ideally gained in financial services; payments, banking, audit or any other similar business;
  • Professional accountancy qualification (i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA) would be an asset;
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Team player;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with other people from diverse background;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications.
